The curious ant and the clever prostitute
Between work and commerce (Fable)
The Prostitute and the Ant
A cunning harlot, seasoned and sly,
Plied her trade on the street, men would buy,
Her time and her charms, they'd exchange for their gold,
For moments of pleasure, fleeting and bold.
One day, a little ant drew near,
Approached the lady with a jeer,
It asked, "Please pardon, but I must know,
How do you manage to earn your dough?"
The harlot smiled with mischief galore,
And answered the ant with innocence ignored,
"My tiny insect, it's all about the sale,
Your charms and talents, you must unveil."
The ant, perplexed, then went away,
Pondering wisdom from the words at play,
It thought to itself, life's well-designed,
For those who use their body and mind.
But in the end, who was more clever,
The working ant, or harlot's endeavor?
The answer is simple, each has their space,
And both can succeed, with choice and grace.
This little fable reminds us that everyone is free to choose their own path and earn a living as they see fit. It is important that we do not judge others for their life choices and respect their decisions.
